The Shubert Theatre puts the spotlight on New Haven's local talent in our all-new Elm City's Cabaret. Patrons will be seated at tables to enjoy an evening of performance in an intimate setting. 

Now in its third year, the Shubert Theatre launched Elm City's Finest to recognize the diverse artists within our city. Talent from nearly every artistic form—music, dance, spoken word, visual art—has been celebrated on our stage. As we continue to showcase artists, each Elm City’s Finest event will focus on an artistic discipline.

Up on the Down Beat is a New Haven-based supergroup on a mission to revitalize Funk in CT and beyond. Made up of top-tier talent from the Jazz, RnB/Soul, and experimental scenes, they channel legends like Parliament, Chaka Khan & Roy Hargrove while bringing bold, fresh grooves that keep you grooving.
